Yellow lines suddenly disappered, I don't know why, now there is just one white bearing line on display, I don't know what that mean?

And just one more question - I don't know in what time intervals passive sonar sends bearing to TMA normally?

Hi,
TMA gets new bearings every 2 minutes. With right mouse button click on the windows you can choose the time window you can display.

Yellow lines are (by the book) the active sonar intercept. Maybe they get moved outside the displayed time window if it is too short to display them.
Or simply the other platform stopped using active sonar for some time.

There is no 2 minutes bearing chosie, there is just 10min or 20min or 1h or 4h!!!
Anyway, what should I do to restore yellow lines, I don't know?
My problem whit white line is that they are moving... yellow lines didn't moved

And just one more thing; is that possible to shot torpedo without using sonar, just using periscope?
I calculated fire solution in TMA with periscope but I cannot fire torpedo, fire button is coverd, I don't know why?

The tma right-click window allows you to select how old the oldest line is allowed to be before it's removed from the display.

If the yellow lines disappeared, it may be because they were older than the limit set here.

You can indeed fire a torpedo on a Vn contact. If it didn't work, there was another reason to it. First of all, if your air charge is too low (fired too many weapons already, emergency blow) you can't fire anyway. Secondly, unless you press "enter solution" in the tma screen, the solution isn't "fire control ready".

yeah thanks
that is because of low air charge and emergency blow
yellow lines are active intercept, not passive sonar thanks
but can I change time intervals for white bearing lines? (passive sonar)
that will be very usefull, 2 minutes is too long

For most TMA situations there has to be a significant difference in bearing lines in order for it to be helpful in generating a solution, so 2 minutes is about the minimum in most sonar tracking situations for the additional lines to be helpful in determining a solution.

The presence of more lines, if they are all very close in bearing and time is not that much more helpful than a line every 2 minutes, actually I've found that more lines can make it more difficult in generating a solution, like when I mark the same ESW contact 50 times in a minute, it can make the TMA process very hairy.

But anyway, how did you change it? (bearing time)
Tell me pleeeeeeaaaaase!
2 minutes is too long because than I need at least 4 or 6 minutes for fire solution!

And why they (white lines) are moving at the beginning of tracking target?

It sucks.
But anyway,
white lines, why they are moving at the beginning when I start tracking contact (target)?
when I make some mission in mission editor and even when I know course and speed of target,
I think because of that moving I got some totally wrong solution????

the first LOB is not 2 minutes but 4 minutes long and is never to use.
why : this is time for the inboard computer to analyse and find reference marker on the track.
And no, abc, this doesn't suck, as it the way it works.
It should suck if it wasn't.

You got totally wrong solution because this need training and some patience.
But TMA on an easy target (loud and speed known), even with only 1 sensor, it's a child work.
IF you wait for 6 to 8 NOT CORRUPTED LOBS before trying it.

The manual is actually very good at explaining the TMA station and how it works.

I agree Xabbarus, how it works ...
But not really how to use it for the TMA, that's the main problem.
