Default Problems with Radio Messages?

I have been running RUB 1.45 with SH3 Cmd I don't hear any radio
messages coming in Radio Room I check the Gramophone folder
and these radio wav files are there like 272 radio,811 radio, there are
about 7 radio files there and when I click to play them all I get is some
Band March song :hmm: Have not had any problems with sound till
lately but I seem to get some distortion in sound from the ocean sounds
standing on bridge? All my other sounds seem ok in SH3 and my other sims DW and combat mission? I used the MS player to play sounds
that comes with windows XP.
That is strange about the radio messages because I have heard them
in the past? :hmm:

Sorry Lane I don't use RUB. I do use SH3 Commander and the files you found in the gramophone file are from it. They are supposed to be music and/or news broadcasts from the time period of the war you are in.

Thank's HW3,

I will look in SH3 Cmdr :hmm: I looked thru the RUB 1.43 folders?
I remember hearing these radio messages before they were in
German I have the radio wave file there about 7, with different numbers
but when I play them just a Musical Band March ? Never saw any thing
like that before. I even removed RUB 1.43 and start SH3 with out
Cmd same thing?
Lane :hmm:

Found the Radio messages in SH3 Cmdr under Data\sound\gramolphone
a whole bunch of folders with different dates with a radio wave file
and it plays ok when I play it with my Windows Media player :hmm:
file must be getting messed up when It loads into my SH3 Gramophone
folder? :hmm: When Cmdr loads my career?
wonder were I should go from here?
If I understood the date system I could try moving the wave file my self?
see if it played guess I could just pick one and move it I can't understand
German
Later

I removed all the seven raido wave files that were in my gamophone
that were messed up copy one from the SH3 CMD gamophone files
and it plays ok So I think I will remove SH3 commander and reinstall
the one that does not have installer And see if it will pick up my present career and see if it will load the radio messages ok
I did a roll back before I removed RUB 1.45 but it did not remove those
messed up radio wave files?
Thank's guess I troublshoot my own problem :rotfl: :rotfl:

My Last post on this topic I removed my SH3 Commander
D/L the zip version 2.3 installed it in folder desk top set it all back up.
Using JSGME installed RUB 1.45 Cmd picked up my career at Kiel
March 3 1940 in port till April 11, 1940 Lv port for AN 31
All is fine my breifing in for the correct month and my written radio
message traffic is fine Looking Good start my gramophone and
my 16 ogg music files play fine but there it was that Band March song So I made a save away from kiel
checked my gramaphone folder there is one radio file that is nothing
but a march song. checking my Cmdr back up folder I found a sound
folder with a one radio wave files lookes like the one in my folder
So I copy and replaced the bad file and it works fine so I have a radio
message in German I can't understand but I have one that plays
don't know why the file is going bad moving to my gramophone folder
but moving it manual it works?
Case closed I don't need that dumb message but I know how to fix it
Lane PS my ouside sounds on bridge is fine now

ok I said no more post but one more to clear the record
I think I mit be wrong about those radio wave messages from the
date folder in SH3 Cmdr :hmm: I think when I hear that march song
on the Radio that means there is no news message at that date?
because when I start SH3 with Cmdr it sends a wave file that says
radio if it is just music that march song then there is no news :hmm:
I was looking in those date folder some are empy some have a radio
wave file one I found was that march song and some have a radio
message I am going to see what happens when I move from april 1940
to May 1940 I may have a radio Brodcast in German
This is my last post on this topic
Sorry for taking up space on forum for this problem.

Your right Lane, not every month has a news broadcast in it. Some have just the music and some have nothing. I think the file is loaded at the start of your patrol and only changes when you start another patrol but, I could be mistaken.

Correct - assuming of course that the other patrol doesn't start around the same date (for example any patrol starting between 1 Jan 1940 and 9 May 1940 will get the march that Lane refers to).

In your case Lane, the next radio broadcast will occur when you have a patrol that commences on or after 10 May 1940.
