Default The benefits of global heating...

Wow, we just had the hottest October weekend in 100 years. Sun, blue skies and between 20 to 23 C. Everybody went out, traffic jams everywhere...

Global heating certainly rocks.
:|\
I'm longing to see the Dutch win all the speed skating events during the Winter Olympics while I'm hanging out in a beach club, sipping an ice cold Absolut-orange and 'working' on my tan. I might even take my cap off...
Thanks Bill (Clinton) for not signing the Kyoto Protocol!

All Dutchmen can swim like fish. Only some allochtones may have a problem, but I guess by then they'll be willing to emigrate again...

We are the best speed skaters in the world, in a country without ice. The solution: Skating halls, just like ice hockey halls in the States. We also have artificial snow pistes in huge halls. Leave it to the Dutch to find a solution for everything!
As an extra benefit, all these technologies stimulate global heating...

"Zwei Fliegen in einem Slag" (two flies in one catch) as Nietsche would have said!

You should try ice hole swimming someday. It is fun.

Also going out in -15C and less directly after the sauna feels great

And if Thomas Gold's theory proves correct there'll be enough oil to extend summer sports and leisure for years to come.
