Default I need protection!

Spotted these guys in the Med. 1943, somewhere near the "toe" of Italy... Sea state was rough and the sun had just submerged for the day. Thought I'd just chill for awhile with our friends. The convoy was made up of two BBs, Several DDs, some ATs, and a few merchants. Some of the escorts were Italian, but most of them were German, same goes for the merchants. Both of the BBs were German of course. Don't think the Italians had a BB, but I could be wrong.

A birds-eye view of most of the convoy ships... FPS were kinda low for a moment this particular shot. Mostly they are up in the 50+ range running AA4 and AF4.

Nice shots! I have yet to run into an Axis convoy (will have RUb 1.44 tomorrow and I'm so excited!) but it must have been a really nice feeling to be able to surface and cruise along side friendly vessels inside a friendly convoy

Look at the bright side, if it clashes with a another convoy, you can score some easy tonnage while helping out your friends

Ummm the only Axis BBs in the Med during the war were Italian (unless you count Vichy ) no German BBs were there. How could they get there? By rail? :rotfl: Mind you, SH3 doesn't have any Regia Marina BBs only a Soldati DD ... unless the modders can do something. What mods are you running?

I am running RUB 1.44 and Heavy Traffic 1.43

At first I thought I was gonna have a field day since I had just gotten underway and still had a full load of torps. The remainer of the patrol I only was able to sink one lone Greek C2 and two lone Austrialian Coastal Merchants. What were the Aussies doing in the Med? That's what I was thinking about more so than the Germans in the Med with a convoy of BBs heading to Beruit Wrong way guys, America is the OTHER way!!! :rotfl:

That convoy was probably added by the Ops mod. The German Battleships are supposed to stand in for Italian ships, I believe.

Yep, the ops mod has been in RuB since at least 1.43. I'm not sure they're working on it very actively anymore, though. A shame - anyway Rubini's new mod adds plenty of interesting stuff.
