The things in this game that should be dangerous to a sub, are not. And those that should not be too dangerous can be.
Planes? No danger at all. Just go to flank speed and engage them. Assuming you have bought AA guns. Submerge and you're crabmeat. If I choose default action to engage aircraft, why does not someone man the guns? I have to put them there, loseing valuable seconds. Why does the Sunderland not drop its charges, till its too late for it? Stay on the surface and they never drop em. Merchant guns? Not dangerous enough. Any Uboat skipper would not risk getting close enough to get himself. In this game long John Silver ![]() One cool thing I thought of whilst pondering over the European map in 1940 was when will the Wehrmacht reach the French coast? Would be nice to have a dynamic map that showed the German frontline expanding and contracting as the war proceeded. The FAT torpedo? of the two patterns that could have been used, we get the useless ladder. I want a FAT that loops, that stands a chance of getting an escort. Why do my crew stop to tell me every bloody ship they see, why not just ignore the German ships? Just a few thoughts |
