Yesterday in the morning my DVD writer died, no possibility to see any disk. I wrote to the Starforce team, they replied asking me some information system files, then gave me some advices to make my DVD drive working again. Unfortunately the device refused to revive. I tried to run SH3 on the DVD player and it started to turn like a crazy on the disk check. Then the SF support give me a new key to exclude the disk check, but the disk is necessary because the SF protection have to read the disk label. SH3 can't run without the SF driver.
This morning I returned my killed DVD drive to the supplier and he gave me another similar working drive. The SF support told me that it is not possible that the protection system killed my DVD drive. Anyway their support was excellent, much better than their software. Here some numbers: 2 days to resolve the problem 22 email messages 1 DVD drive killled by unknown circumstances, a coincidence whit a real hardware failure is possible 4 persons in sequence from the SF support followed my problem Fortunately tomorrow I can relax my nerves, I'll go to work. |
