What does the Sound vs. Speed hotfix do?

I read the sticky at the top, but I have no idea what it does. I know it mentioned something about the sound vs. speed database. Does it just adjust values in the USNI Reference?

Without this fix, all subs in DW were making the same noise no matter at which speed they were travelling.

With this fix, the subs noise increases with their speed

Is that for ownship or AI as well? So I make the same noise at slow speed as I would flank speed? Does this affect the extra noise generated by cavitating?

I have the program on a secondary drive so from Winzip I unpacked it into:

D:\Games\Programs\Dangerous Waters\Database.

That should be the correct path shouldn't it?

Nydrre, I just reran the installation to check - just unzip into the main folder egs. -

C:\Program Files\Sonalysts Combat Simulations\Dangerous Waters

Have WinZip defaults at Overwrite existing and Use folder names - worked a treat.
