I'm getting to the point where I'm going to need a new computer soon. One of the ones that I'm looking at is a mini desktop with an i5-1240P 2.1 GHz 12-Core Up to 4.4 GHz, 32GB RAM, 4TB PCIe SSD. Instead of a dedicated video card, it has Iris Xe, which is the video card functions built into the CPU. I was wondering if anyone out there had tried running SH4 on Iris Xe, and if so, how well did it run?

MY opinion don't do it. No cpu bound graphics integration has ever done better than a good solid dedicated video card.

although i have opted for separate motherboard video processors the last few systems. video chip vs video card=same-same. not sure what the price point difference is between a distinct video processor/card vs the shared cpu video....... good luck. ![]()
