Even if you do not know the name, you probably know some of his music nevertheless. Difficult to overestimate the reach of his tunes in past decades. Just plenty of good songs, solidly composed.

Burt took home the Oscar for best song and best original score...and Paul Newman did all the stuntwork on the bicycle!!? The stunt double refused to do this scene because the stunts were allegedly too dangerous so Paul Newman ended up doing them himself.
