No matter what I do, if I use mods or not, I always have this sun shining in the sky.. flat as a coin...
It's with GWX3.0 and I get this sun from start of every patrol to the en of it. I tried using env mods that include sun halo tga, but the result is the same... Somewhere I read about a GWX flat sun fix, but can't find a thread about about it. Is that the cure for the problem? Could someone please give me a hand with this? Thanks a lot in advance. CapZap

Will give it a try right away! ![]() CapZap EDIT: FUBAR, one question... I see the fix has the ENV files, and by enabling the mod via JSGME, won't it break any env mod I might use?

You can do as Fifi has suggested in a tweak if you have that card. Good hunting, FUBAR295

Tried without any mods at all, just GWX as base, and the flat sun is still there, so I guess the problem is what Fifi said. Thanks a lot anyway!! You have been very helpful! ![]() CapZap

I also have the flat sun issue and it doesn't seem to make any difference what graphics settings I use or environment mods with my RTX 2070.
I'm more worried about the odd black artefacts keep flashing just above the horizon randomly. Rick Last edited by RickSarg; 06-26-20 at 01:50 AM. |

![]() If the sun in the game is a circle drawn on the plane... what should the sun look like? Naturally like a flat geometric figure. The circle is white and emits 'light' which is generated by the corresponding controller. Therefore, when the sun is behind the clouds, we clearly see its flat essence. All the tricks listed here do not solve the problem. You can try replacing the evenly white circle by a circle with gradually darkens the white color towards the edges of the sun. In theory, the radiation determined by the controller should also attenuate towards the edges of the sun. It can be assumed that it will take several trials to select the size of the darkened area and the intensity of its color. ![]() Picture: https://www.mediafire.com/view/tt43v...nMoon.jpg/file P.S. The result to look when the sun is behind clouds!!! P.P.S. and... your sun is very small.

Hi guys,
If you have an Nvidia graphic card, try this : In Nvidia control panel, desactivate : Anti-aliasing gamma correction If you use Anti-aliasing, do not go over x4 And with NvidiaProfileInspector, set Anti-aliasing compatibility : Diablo III If i respect this, then i will have a beautiful shining sun. I think the most important setting here is the Anti-aliasing gamma correction ( Which is not the regular AA setting !). It has always bring graphical glitches in my SH3 install. Something like a kind of flash light on the horizon at night. And of course, a flat sun ! You should try it if you have this annoying problem. |
