I tried editing mine to get rid of non-essential entries and found it extremely tedious and time consuming to highlight one line at a time then select 'Edit/Delete'... EVERY TIME!
I'm thinking the better way is to keep unnecessary stuff from getting entered in the first place. Any tips on managing an efficient ships journal? |

I do.
I have started turning off "each new entry will be saved in the ship's journal file and "each new entry will be shown in the ship's journal". Then started writing my own stuff in it. I basically try to keep to normal naval entries also found in real logbooks. Works much better. Be aware though that in the case of a ctd or exiting to windows without saving your log all your work is gone.

Apparently your own entries are not saved I just discovered.
Ship's log gives a lot of problems. Will make a long post about it soon.
