I've installed MagUI 1360x768
The map isn't full screen in this mod. Is there a way to make it full screen? The thread for the mod is closed or I would have posted to ask this there. Thanks! Last edited by CassiousClay; 12-15-20 at 06:38 AM. |

I'm very savvy with coding, using programs, and editing game files. If someone can save me the bit of time it takes to figure it out and tell me what files need swapped or changed that's all I need and what I'm hoping for.
I want to get to playing and enjoying the game. I've been doing way more futzing with it than playing. lol What's the difference in the one I got that I linked and what you linked, John? They're all 1360. |

Regarding files someone with more knowledge would have to give the details but I would think the maps file (s) in game/data/terrain/maps and the menu_1024_768.ini file in game/data/menu would be involved. Maybe some files too in game/data/menu/gui/layout. There is a menu.ini guide somewhere on the forum. Best to look at that as any mistakes in that file will cause the game to not load. Once understood it's easy to work with though.

Thanks for the info!
Yeah I'm gradually figuring it out on my own by digging. Who knows...I may release my own supermod some day. I have been digging around in the directories you mentioned but haven't found it yet. I've opened the editor with SH5 to glance at it but haven't done that with SH3 yet. I also saw somewhere on these forums some stuff I'm after to modify might be packed in the exe. There's so much info and so many threads here these forums can be a bit overwhelming to navigate. Even with using the search feature. I'll look for that menu.ini guide. Thanks!!! |

To make the map larger than 1024x768 you need to apply TychoSh3Patch. In it's thread Tycho gives information about editing maps.cfg to make it larger. You also may need to edit menu_1024x768.ini to make the map page look good.

Applying the patch is a requirement but it is not enough. I have not tried to edit MaGUI like that but I guess you can edit maps.cfg to make the map larger. The problem is that it will probably be above the wooden table MaGUI has and it will look bad.
