Tired of this game not running under Win10. Had it running months ago, tried playing today, all screwed up again.
Re-installed original, patched, installed 1.49RA, game runs using the Dxwin thing but the screens are messed up. You have to constantly move mouse to see the menu, but ONLY the options menu will load correctly. Try playing a QM and cannot even see the screen to make any choices. Honestly, this game ran fine on Win10 back when RA 1.47 or so was the newest. But these last 2 RA mods make the game unplayable! |

LOl, well right after I wrote this I completely removed DW from computer.
Downloaded game from Steam. Ran game, crashed. Opened original Readme.txt, came across the entry that says to change Antialising and Anistrofic filtering to "Application Controlled". Ran original game using the Dxwin program setup as FPSChasly posted= Game worked fine!! Note-When I did the above, there isn't one of those d3d files to change like some have done. If I rem correctly, those came from the RA mods so I of course haven't got to that yet? Now I've gotta try the RA mod again. |

Ok now, RA 1.49 installed and working without any changing any dll files.
It works now on my Win10 using the DXwin program. |

Glad to hear you got it working! It can be a bear. Don't use the d3d8.dll with DxWnd, it won't work. d3d8.dll and DxWnd are "either or" solutions.
