I am running a beginners tutorial showing how to set up a 90deg attack. I get through all without too much of a trouble up to the point when I suppose to measure target speed marking its positions in 5 min intervals. The problem is that the target position is not showing on the map.
How do I make it show? Runing latest TWoS with Real Nav enabled. Last edited by Polak2; 04-19-19 at 09:35 PM. |

Hi Polak2,
As far as I know, when Real Navigation is enabled you will not see any contacts on your map. In order to see an enemy ship on the map, you will need to calculate its position and chart it manually. Hope this helps! |

Fortunately, there are other nethods to measure speed. My favourite is to identify the target, get its length from recognition handbook, then position the periscope so that the targets bow aligns with vertical line of your crosshair and start the stopwatch. When target stern passes through the crosshair line, stop the stopwatch and then divide target length by measured time and multiply result by 1.944 to get target speed in knots. It works because regardless of range and aob the speed can be always calculated from the time it takes the ship to sail its own length. |

Yes, I reckoned that this was RealNav mod which makes that simple tutorial not applicable. So everything has to be plotted on the map.
Just was checking, if nothing else was missing on my end. Thanks. |
