Default David Ogden Stiers ( Major Charles Emerson Winchester ) passes away at 75

David Ogden Stiers Passed away after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.

David rose to prominence and fame playing Doctor / Surgeon Major Charles Emerson Winchester III in the acclaimed series, M*A*S*H. While joining the other actors in the sixth season, David became an integral part in the continued success of the series. Stiers also received two Emmy nominations for his work on "M.A.S.H." David starred on the show from 1977 until its landmark final episode in 1983, seen by 106 million people.

In the series, David's character loved classical music, using it as a buffer against the carnage he witnessed from a front row seat as he portrayed a surgeon. David Introduced these and other attributes from his real life persona as in real life, he was also a classical music aficionado.

David also played the French horn and Piano.

Also, a few years back he had the role of the doctor who, do to some situation, eat the "nut" he had removed from his patience early...

Sad to hear. He was a nice change from Frank Burns. Some great moments by a talented actor. Here's my favorite:
