When my aircraft are targeted by a missile, they automatically release flare/chaff and sometimes perform turns. The problem is their turns are too wide most of the time, and they get caught by the missile. When a missile is close by, I manually order the the plane to move to a location that would require a turn, and this sometimes makes them to make a sharper turn, shaking off the missile. The problem is that the planes don't always begin turning immediately, and get caught.
Has anyone found a better way to dodge missiles? |

If anybody else is interested, I've found that jamming the attackers with the EA-6's helps a lot. There is no option to initiate jamming in the game's context menus, but you can give the order with the 'c' key. You will see a small red dot below the jammed target.
Pity the game doesn't allow jamming more than two targets at the same time with a single plane. AFAIK jammers can operate on many targets simultaneously. |
