I'm a returning SH4 fan and need some advice. I have SH4 1.5 and would like to download a single mega-mod, or a small combination of mods that make SH4 as realistic and graphically pleasing as possible. I've played Trigger Maru and I think it might be the ticket, but what do you play and why.
PS: I'd like German voices when I play the U-Boot missions for added realism. |

Couldn't get through a single mission of FOTRS....what's with the humming? The porpoise sounds were too much as well. Is there a way to turn that off? Is the loud humming normal, even underwater?

When you activate a new mod, you have to have a "clean" Save folder, else you'll pull in some the data from previous Save games. If you also then load a Save from that folder, it gets worse. There is a bit of a background "hum" in the Command Room and a slightly different version of it in the Chart Map, but it's not "loud" by any stretch of the imagination. You can control the levels of certain areas of the game from the Options menu, Sounds, and turn the FX down. I always play - er, "test" - the game with the Music level almost all the way down...
