So, I bought my copy of CW from GOG.com instead of Steam, because it was on sale there. I played the main campaigns, enjoyed them, and am ready to start using mods for more subs and campaigns. However, both the Playable Subs mod and some others say I need to be using the Steam version of the game. Is there a way around this that people know can work?
Also, I'm on a Mac, so the file paths are different, and unlike Steam what I've noticed so far is that GOG doesn't make it easy for me to find the game resource files on my Mac's HD that I would need to locate in order to apply the mods. Not sure what to do there, GOG's website and forums don't have an easy-to-find answer in my searching so far. Thanks! |

On the main menu screen, down in the bottom right of the screen, what version number is displayed?
You might consider asking on the playable subs github page if your version will work with their mod. |

The Steam version is a standalone...no need for steam to be running to use it. You can have/run multiple CW of the steam release.
