There are over 25,000 threads in the Silent Hunter III forum. This makes SH3 the most talked about subsim in the site.

Since its release in 2005, this translates to 12 years of discussion at over 2,100 new threads per year, an average of almost 6 new topic threads per day!

Ranked strictly in terms of thread count, Silent Hunter III rates as the most popular forum section here at subsim.

SHiii is clearly a legendary title with a dedicated fan base even 12 years on, but will it be toppled anytime soon? Many players have given other subsims a shot, but many of those players often find themselves right back at the helm of this classic.

With some very promising games in the works, time will tell!
