re installing game

Hi all I've not been around for a while as I got a bit jaded with SH5 and the lack of a mega-mod. I am pleased to see there is one now and I thank those that made it happen. My problem is the nightmare I'm having trying to re install SH5. I keep getting the message that the cd key has already been used. I have been in contact with uplay and they have found the account I used to register it. That account was linked to an old email address of mine so they have changed that for me. The irony now is their server is down so I still can't load it. I don't remember having to log in to uplay to load this game before but maybe I'm wrong. Can someone please remind me of the procedure. Thanks.

Unfortunately Uplay is an essential part of SH5.
It can be set to play Off Line.

Thank you. Yes I have already downloaded The Wolves of Steel mega mod and can't wait to get started when I clear the uplay mess up. Their site is still playing up so can't contact then at the moment. I have also got the 'Collectors Edition' key, will I be able to install that and then install the mega mod?

Finally got it working yesterday. It turns out it was my stupidity. I had put in the wrong account when it asks you to do so at the end of the installation before it updates. I now need to post on the mods forum to get my head around installing the wolves mega mod. I tried it once already but got confused at step 6. Anyway I'll take it to the mods forum .
