Default Hi Rez Mods

I have a new 1920 x 1080 monitor and am looking for resolution options. I found the SP2 Rez Fix mod but it doesn't do anything that I can tell. I'm using GWX, Commander, GWX 16km atmosphere, and QWX Open Hatch mods.

Is there anything else I just overlooked?

Hi, Buddahaid!

As far as I understand you have only one option:

Widescreen mod from Ahnenerbe

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=215433

High res mod only produce hor+ 1600x1200 picture, and all other WS GUI`s are not HD or not GWX compatible.

Thanks for the links I don't know how I missed that. Anyway, the more I look the more confused I get.

Perhaps I should ask for a suggested mod list and install order that is working for others. I'm still a casual player that's spends most of his time on other real world projects and have been happy with the GWX and Commander set up, but would like to move into the new monitor resolution. I know others must have been down this path and can steer me clear of the pot holes.

Yes Ahnenerbe's is what I was thinking. I hate to be stupid but I'm not quite understanding where to put which files from the instructions.

Current JGME status.

Main extracted files of the MOD.

My current MODS folder.

Thanks in advance.

Currently am with Magui F by that resolution and there is no problem, at least for me

Res 1920x1080
DX9HiResFix
Magui F
B25 camera Magui complete

But it is under Win 7

I dont know how it is right, but it works ....

Sorry Budda, but I have not tried with Ahnenerbe yet

Wait a minute, братан!

Do you mean you run your usual high-res fix game, horizontally stretched to cover whole monitor space, so every element of GUI is just enlarged, you dials look oval, and crewmen look like a fat farmers or this GUI can really be used in true Wide Screen High Definition?

I tried everything, but unfortunately it seems only Ahnenerbe mod is Wide Screen High Definition, yet even his mod is a half way solution, bcz nav map or crew tab are still tiny 1024x768 elements somewhere in the corner. But at least it works as intended.

Hey Buddahaid!

1) Just move your Ahnenerbe WideGui final mod from "DOWNLOADS" in to the "MODS" folder (next to all these GWX mini mods), located in your SH3 folder (C:\UBISOFT\SH3\MODS or whatever place you installed it)

2) Next, run your JGSME utility and you should see mod as available there (left column)

3) Enable it and you are good to go. Nothing else required.

Hehh!

Of course not, but unfortunately I am too lazy to look for an alternative off Bandicam to this resolution,to show it

It's no different from this, its 1366x768

Thanks. I new it should be simple but I didn't want to assume that was all. I'll give it a go after work.

Hey, Ruslan!

Now Im really confused!

So you somehow managed to break the system and run MaGui F in 1920X1080 or there is some misunderstanding...

So far I tested Magui F with highres fix but it looks good only in 4:3 aspect, its still stretches in WS. Im afraid this GUI is 4:3 only.

Next I tried Magui WS 3.4, now its a WS one, but its just a 1360X768 and when it fits to the whole 24" screen, my eyes starting to bleed quickly.

And when I tried to run it in HD (1920X1080) GUI started to glitch at periscope.

I still think the only method for WS HD using GWX is Ahnenerbe mod or Im wrong? Can someone share the light on this? BL!TZKR!EG, may be you can share your knowledge with us?

Good show! Working well after a bit of flap because I left the sim in windowed mode. I need to play with the interface because I can't "climb" the ladder into the conning tower by clicking. Still it feels like a new game! Nice intro movie.
