Installing LSH3 Supermod on a Steam version of SH3

As usual, I start off by saying that if you're just here to say Steam is bla bla bla, just please keep it yourself. I know this kind of rude but please, I'm tired of hearing it.

Anyhow, hello captains so I've got this problem with Living Silent Hunter 3 - everytime I start a career game, the game just stays on the loading screen. I've managed to install the mod successfully, I can play the tutorial missions but not career mode.

I have tried a few things to try and fix it but still won't work:

• 4GB Patch/LAA
• Compatibility mode on Win XP SP2/Win Vista
• Running as administrator

I have uninstalled & re-installed the game (and the mod) twice now and by uninstalling I mean removing everything including registry entries and so on.

Anyways I was hoping you guys could help. Thanks in advance.
