SHO Great documentary on American Subs in the Pacific

I found a great documentary about American subs in the Pacific, really great detail and even better lots of accounts from actual WW2 submariner vets.

Also found a cool but very long documentary on the history of battleships from the creation of the man-of-war to the last battleships built in WW2.

Default Great Documentary

This was great and it covered a lot of what I didn't know.

Two of my favorite sub docs are Battlefield Season 2 episode 2 The Battle of the Atlantic

and
Battlefield S6/E3 - The War Against the U-boats
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHY1M2TkSro&index=27&list=PL8hNHC9nbLlwpq5 bbCkcODDmAXXFfuSKZ

but they deal primarily with submarine warfare in the Atlantic. This filled in a few gaps about the Pacific theater.

I'd heard of Mush Morton and Dick O Kane but this put them in perspective.

BTW did a little reading up on Dick O Kane on wikipedia and was surprised to learn that he's got a ship named after him... A destroyer! Not sure how he'd feel about that.

Found two more cool documentaries.

A long one on the German U-boats but also about the general defense against them as well as great accounts from vets from both sides.

Also found a documentary on the Battle of Convoy PQ-17 up in the Arctic.
