Default Escorts wont attack

Hi.I decided after a long time to retry playing SH5.
I have installed these mods:
MightyFine Crew Mod
Dynamic Environment
Equipment and Upgrades by TheBeast
IRAI
FX Update
Open Horizons II

and I am running the 1.2 version of the game.

I am in the middle of the fortress mission (second mission of the campaign),I sneak in the port of scapa flow ,I blow up a battleship and the 6-7 escorts that are very close to it (100-200 metres)
never move. They dont sound any alarms, they don't open any lights they are not hunting, they are not even moving .
What is going wrong here?
Thanks.

Edit:Also I cannot find how many tonnage I must sink ,in order for the mission to be completed.

Hey zepo I have the Wolves of Steel mega mod which I believe includes most of your mods and I noticed the same thing at Scapa Flow.
I have this feeling that those ships were set there to be part of the "story" so you could go in and sink a few. I have no idea if this is in fact true but anywhere else the escorts chase me normally. In Scapa Flow I can drive in and there are battleships, escorts, a few passenger liners.. all just sort of sitting around doing nothing lol.

I would be curious to see if anyone else has seen this.

There is a major bug with the tonnage if you do a search here. I don't think anyone has solved it, and it is random. I think you can look into one of the configuration files to see how much tonnage you need for each mission.

Due to the bugs I've decided to just play "free" and get what I get. If I get tired of the same scenario, I've read that there is a way to set flag = true so you can move on to the next scenario.

I hope that helps.

Scapa flow is the fleet anchorage... most of the ships in there are anchored with the crew on shore. The fuel, ammunition and supplies being loaded. They are not ready for combat. This is the reason why you attack them there. Catch the Royal Navy with it's pants down...

When I dod did the Scapa mission in OHII there was a couple of active destroyers in the anchorage any many active destroyer patrolling the exit/entry

I am running sobers mod list and I have a slightly different 'glitch' to report along these lines.

I snuck into Scapa Flow and was making final maneuvers in preparation of some broadside torpedoes on two battleships when I started to get pinged by a destroyer. I popped up my scope to see what was going on and sure enough I must have given up my position because I had not one, but two destroyers using spotlights to hunt me. I maneuvered pretty close to an idle merchant and hoped that maybe the game will model the 'cover' this provided. The closest destroyer stopped moving and was pinging and using the light to find me. I thought, sweet, they cant find me! After maybe an hour on in-game time with me essentially sitting quiet on the bottom they gave up pinging and the search lights went off. I then came back to periscope depth to execute my attack.

It was at this point forward, even after sinking two battleships right in front of them, that I realized that the enemy ships seemed like they had gone artificially idle. It was almost like I glitched out the AI or something caused them to stop functioning?? Perhaps close proximity to the merchant and the shoreline prevented the AI from maneuvering the way it wanted and thus caused them to give up?

Has this been happening to other folks as well?

Default Scapa flow

I had something similar. Entered undetected using decks awash, destroyers and smaller craft everywhere who didnt see me even though I could almost give them a high five. At about 2000 meters from the battleships I decided to go to periscope depth and attack using the attack scope. The second I went below all ships turned on their searchlights but did not move. Sunk the two capitol ships, turned around and went away, after a few minutes decided to ignore the AI cause he was ignoring me, surfaced and went flankspeed until well clear of the English coast. To top it off I didnt get any tonnage, but that is another story...

Regards,

Erik.
