Default Coke is Bringing Sexy Back to Milk

This has to be one of the most questionable moves by a major in advertising history:

What next?: Mom in a string bikini and sexy apple pies?...

Maybe it's just living in the Balkans or close to German FKK beaches in Croatia, but those ads are really really mild.
Unhygenic yes, but not shocking.

I'm not knocking the quality of the images, I just find it a very questionable way to promote milk. Also, going this route opens Coke to all kinds of backlash form all kinds of groups and portions of the buying public. It seems Coke hasn't learned from the "New Coke" debacle a few decades back...

It's a disconnect from the public, like most big businesses, governments and the like, but since enough people will buy it anyway then they dont' notice it except from the media backlash.

Coke wants to bring a new line of products to public attention and it seems to work...all the rest is irrelevant.

There is worse to be seen in print media than 40s-style pin-up arts.

I'm with MH, they are kind of cool. I don't know if it's the best way to advertise or not, but too many people are too offended by them.

It's hip to be offended these days. Everybody is offended by everything and sues over everything. Nothing new here.
I for myself don't see what the outrage is. Those pics were actually well made and creative. I don't think they would even raise an eyebrow here in Germany.

This.

I have no issue with the ads, in fact I kind of like them. But I'm a guy.

Which means this ad campaign is GENIUS. TOTAL SUCCESS on their part. People are talking about their product. I would have never of known of this product without this discussion.

And now I'm tempted to go buy some to see if it looks as good on my girl's body as it does the pinups'.

Is this really worse than the milk ads which had women with their mouths partially open and the "product" on their lips? That was questionable.

Given the amount of blatant sexuality in entertainment these are lame. No bump and grind with twerking? No milk for me.
