Will it work?

I am considering downgrading my Windows 8 laptop to Windows 7... to play Dangerous Waters. Windows 8 is, in my opinion, very hard to find files in, and I like the setup of windows 7 anyway better. My question is.. will Windows 7 run Dangerous Waters?

Yes it does, it's what I'm running DW on. Good Hunting!

Runs like a charm. Also, I don't consider going to Windows 7 a downgrade Great OS.

If DW was the only reason to downgrade Windows 8 to 7 then you may not have to. Somebody made a fix recently to prevent the game crashing. Well, it might still be rough around the edges, but it doesn't crash instantly. (not tested myself)

[EDIT] Nevermind, didn't notice you stated you found it hard to get along with Win8.

Default Drivers

I was advised against it by my computer sales store. The equipment is built differently and requires new drivers, which might be hard to do, and which might now like the switch. I'd day let the pro's do it for you, unless you are a computer hardware person.

I wish you the best.

I'd say that laptop driver compatibility with Windows 7 depends alot on the make/model/brand. To hard to say without specifications of it.

But yes, if you do it make sure you know how to handle this stuff, or let it be done by a computer techie.

Calling an switch from win7 from 8 or 8.1 a downgrade is pure blasphemy
Took quite a while for me to upgrade from xp and actually like win7 more, when you set it up as you want it! But I love it now!
