Okay, so I have SH3 for the steam version, and I played it last night. I had 3 or 4 save files for this game, and after a while I called it quits and exited. When I went to play the game today, after clicking on career and looking for my saves, they did not come up.
I checked in My Documents Folder, and my saves were indeed there. My saves are under 'My Documents/SH3/data/cfg/Careers/>name of character</0' I tried just putting all the files in the '0' folder just in the character name folder, but that didn't work either. Anyone know how to fix this? |

I have had issues with this before, with multiple saves, and in the end that was best handled by keeping it to a minimum. One career campaign. I also went into the programs manager in the control panel settings, and ran down the list until i found SH3. Then I hit the uninstall option at the top, and ran the repair utility from the uninstall menu. That seemed to have fixed the error, and from that point on, I never saved more than one captain at a time.
Not sure if it will help in your case, but it's worth a try.

Rename the folder >name of character< to something else, or by adding a single character. That should fix it. Why? Good question.
