Hi,

It's been a few years since my last deployment. But now I'm back at sea, although I seem to have forgotten one of my favorite keyboard shortcuts.

How do you get the fixed external view? (Stays fixed on the boat, not F12)

It is the < key.

You may have a the wrong keyboard layout, or messed up the settings in Windows at some point. Afaik the proper key is indeed F12 on a US keyboard layout.

But there is also a realism option that prevents the free camera from moving. That is probably enabled/disabled.
