Default Getting game settings to stick?

Hi, as mentioned in my other thread, its been a while away from this sim....starting a new campaign i set all game settings to realistic except 'external view', but when i save they revert back to medium settings...ah i thought, i remember this, you need to set the settings as you want, then save the game, then reload that save.....except that does'nt work either?

Thus i have re set the settings as i liked then started the first misson not really knowing if they are in place or not as its now locked even for viewing!

Any help much appreciated.

Did you try setting it in the bunker instead?

Yes...indeed you can only set it in the bunker...it just would'nt stick.

The old routine as i remember it was enter the bunker at the start of a new campaign, hit escape, go to settings and change, then save, then load your save game and job done.

Except it kept going back to 33% realistic!! i have WOS mod added so not sure if this makes a difference?

In the end, i set the settings and started a new misson, but noe its locked and i cant even view it to see if my settings stuck....would hate to play for hours only to find out its on 33%

Hi Poacher

After you make your changes do a game save from the main menu.

This will over write the starting AEB.

Go back to the main menu.

Load the new save.

Your changed game play settings are now available.
