Default US justice department charges Chinese with hacking

Who woulda thunk

Quote:
The US has charged five Chinese army officers with hacking into private-sector American companies in a bid for competitive advantage, in the first cyber-espionage case of its kind.

Attorney General Eric Holder said the alleged breaches were "significant" and demanded "an aggressive response".

US prosecutors say the officers stole trade secrets and internal documents from five companies and a labour union.

China denied the charges and warned the case would harm US-China relations.

That's a bit ironic, isn't it. The hungry roaming wolf complaining about that he got bitten. What should we then say over here? We get bitten by them both, as if we were engaged in a two-fronts-war already.

Could be the beginning of a long running saga of claims and counter claims.

It's inevitable, it's the new era of espionage.

Well if you look at statistics and listen to well-informed circles the US were clearly in advance regarding spying, along with England and its former (?) colonies.
Which perfectly makes sense, since IT-wise they are still advanced in that field, and they sure were 20 years ago.

Since England is alway so interested in "who started" it, i'd say this time you really were first.
Kudos

In lieu of recent events, one probably won't require a Master's Degree in Confucian Studies to gauge China's response.

It's as old as the internet itself and a moot point. Like closing the barn door after the horse has already been stolen.

NASA might wanna stock up on those Made in China trampolines. Between Russia and China we might have no Space Program.

Did the genius Eric Holder just figure out this just now?

I figured it out when they (chinese) pirated the first I-phone.

Next week Holder will figure out he sold and lost a bunch of guns to the Mexican Cartels.

They where reverse engineering US technology long before the iphone 5.

I never understand why people look down on reverse engineering it is actually pretty clever nearly everything borrows something from a previous concept.

Everyone spies on everyone else as well why this is so shocking is beyond me.

I figure these guys are a lot smarter than I am, right?

If I could hack into their computers I couldn't understand a word they said

They can at least translate the English language and numbers into Chinese ... their minds must be a funny place
