Default Never Seen Before!!!

I thought i would share this experience with my fellow kaleuns as i've never come across this situation in the 8 years i have been creeping about the seas of the silent hunter world.

1st June 1940 0740hrs

I was off South East coast of England having completed my patrol of AN84 and I was heading South towards Dunkirk as I knew port was being evacuated by the British Expeditionary Force.
I came across three destroyers 2 Hunt class and a Tribal Class about 30KM North of Dunkirk, I attacked and sank all 3 and proceeded on my course South.

0815hrs

I am spotted by a VW Class steaming at 15kts towards me, I crash dive and return to Periscope Depth, silent running to plan my attack, my Hydrophone Operator reports more warships on thier way. I raise my Periscope and see 2 VW Class, 2 Hunt Class, 1 Tribal Class, 2 French Armed Trawlers, an RAF Search and Rescue class all within 6000KM of my position, them "Boom" I start hearing explosions around me but no ships are close enough to depth charge me, I then discover I am being dive bombed by 4 spitfires.

Needless to say the story ends with me and my crew sleeping with the fishes of the English Channel, i have never encountered such a huge attack before, it was very impressive to say the least.

I later reloaded a saved position in the area of AN84 and witness damaged spitfires returning from the french coast and ditiching into the sea, once again I had never seen this before.

That is all.....over and out

Impressive stuff. I've never been in the vicinity of Dunkirk during the evacuation but now it seems it's a must.

Sounds like they really wanted you badly for some reason. Did you steal Churchill's cigars?

Next time you should "Be more aggressive" and "Sink 'em all"!

Dunkirk is quite interesting during the evacuation. You can watch destroyers come in, beach themselves, then after a period of time, pull themselves off the beach, and sail away towards England.
