Just fired up TMO after a long hiatus. Graphics are excellent now that I have a laptop capable of running things properly.
Running the Nautilus as Lt. Cmdr. Bart Mancuso (wonder if folks will get the reference). Currently trying to evade a lone DD a few hundred miles NE of the Marshalls. I had a perfect solution on him. Dusk, point blank 90 degree shot from 700 yards. Popped up periscope a little too early and all hell rained down on us. He's a newb, though. ![]() Anyway, a question. Does anyone know of a mod that improves the chronometer? In other words, larger, so I can see the minute hash marks? My eyesight isn't what it once was...also, (though I think it unlikely due to accuracy concerns) are there any mods that make the hash marks on the nav tools bigger/better? Thanks in advance for any ideas, and Happy Hunting!

I'd be really really surprised if anybody failed to pick up on the Mancuso reference - tbh he's the only character whose name I can remember - Didn't he get a part in Red Storm rising too, after his promotion?
I don't know of anything that will help with the chronometer, but there's a Bigger, Better Protractors mod that really makes a difference with the nav tools. my eyes are past their sell by date too ![]()

I'm with y'all on the eyes. Because of that, I've been using an enlarged stopwatch. I think it's double the size of the one in TMO. The problem with it is that it involves changes to the menu_1024_768.ini file. If yours is different than mine, then it would cause problems, and I believe I've modified it from the standard TMO version. I don't remember all the changes involved, either. I believe what I needed to do was double the size of the image displayed in the .ini file, and also change the centerpoint of the hands. I've also removed the clock hands, so only the stopwatch portion remains, because I found them useless and in the way.
Short answer: Bigger watch is doable, I've done it, but it won't help you much without some more effort. Edit: Uploaded: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=4129
