Bye bye HMS Edinburgh, thank you for your many years of faithful service.

Now the only active Type 42 left is Argentinian. There is some kind of bitter irony there.

Was just about to post this in GT, then I thought 'I'd better check the correct place first'.

A shame to see a hard working class go, but at thirty years, they're getting a bit long in the tooth.

I hope at least one is made into a museum ship, as a tribute to Coventry and Sheffield, the Argentinians were going to make a museum ship out of one of theirs but it sunk due to negligence.

Does seem rather odd that now the only Type-42 in service in the world will be ARA Hércules, even if she is a transport ship now rather than a destroyer.
