Hello. So I was looking to start up another run through the Pacific however I've come across an incredibly annoying issue that I haven't encountered before in SH4. During the day everything looks great but the night sky for some reason becomes incredibly distorted, the horizon has some strange artifacting and discoloring, and the crew and ship have this glowing effect around them. I've seen a few other posts in this forums history pop up with the same or similar issue however no solution was ever given.
So far it's happened with TMO 2.5 standalone and TMO 2.5 with the compatible version of Improved Stock Environments. Vanilla the game is fine and TMO 2.5 but using the shaders folder from 1.9 also works so obviously the issue lies within the shader folder for these mods and messing in it is currently beyond skills at modding. I've gone over all the basics. Updated drivers, cleaned graphics card fan and temps, checked for the correct DX9, set up large address aware, etc. Also tried some more advanced options such as tweaking in game graphic settings as well as doing various tweaks in Nvidia's control panel and Nvidia Inspector. So yeah, any help would be greatly appreciated. Basic PC details and some screens below. Everything is up to date. Windows 7 64bit Intel Core I7-2600k 8GB of RAM GeForce GTX 680 ![]() ![]() Looks much worse in game. |

You can try the Realistic Colours optional from IST.
I had some issues with TMO 25 enviro graphics (grey shadows, greyish faces, etc). Now I´m using FOTRS 1.3 env with some misc folder files from TMO 25. And it looks great. These are screenies with FOTRS 1.3 Environment, my way... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Regards. Fitzcarraldo ![]()

Grabbed the environment files out of FOTRS, overwriting just the shaders the game was fine but adding the Env folder brought back the screwy nights. Also had already tried Realistic Colors with ISE, that was a no go.
Did try just using ISE without TMO and everything was fine however so I suppose this means the problem lies within TMO somewhere. |

Try some standalone environment as Pacific Env or Real Environment. These are complete enviros, overwriting all the needed files.
