Default 4GB patch

Has anyone got any information with regards this patch?
For instance, does it enhance the game, more importantly, will it ruin GWX3?
I think it patches SH3 to 5.1 or something like that.
Thanks for your kind help.

It allows SH3.exe to use more memory.
That helps with a large mod list/mods that are memory intensive.
Works fine for stock to any type mod/mod list.

Without going in to technical details because I haven't had any caffeine yet and it is well documented elsewhere, the patch lets the game run better, in most cases, on PCs that are more advanced than what was commonly available when the game was released.

It does improve the game experience since the PC will run the game better, but doesn't change game play or anything visual. Works with everything as far as I know.

It patches any x86 exe running on a 64-bit system to use more than 2GB of RAM. Any. Not just SH3.

Default Any issue with WIN 7 & does it help with the "game save issues" ??

I have never used this, but will when I redo SH3, and GWX3 in a few days.

I play mostly SH3 of course, once it is loaded again, CIV 5, and the WW1 flight Sim OFF which is a complete redo of CFS3.

So I am wondering if this "download" has any "gremlins" with in it.

Thanks, SNAKE1937

None that I'm aware of, and I've used it on a lot of programs with no ill effect.

I must urge caution doing this. I have it disabled, but I run several varying scans a week, it's not advisable if you can't keep on top of your own security.

Very sound advice....leave UAC on if at all possible unless you are confident in your ability to keep your OS secure.

Create a folder in the partition that has no C:designation.

Put ALL the files in there and double click on the EXE.

Create the game installation (done by the computer) now point the patch at the SH3 exe and it should overwrite it (but copy the original exe and save it to another area in your computer first.
