SH Online beta keys

I've found a website giving out keys to the closed beta of silent hunter online, I looked at subsim for keys before i found this website, so i assume this is not posted here.


about the game:
the game is in german, but most of it should be familiar. The game forces you to play the tutorial. its pretty straight forward. I know a little german and I was able to figure out what the missions ask for using google translate as a dictionary, so it shouldn't be hard for anyone. unfortunately the game does not allow copy/paste, therefore it may be hard to translate everything.
Anyways I saw 3 types of missions (destroy some specific ships - reticle icon, spy on ships and send a report- binoculars, i guess the other was to destroy any- different reticle) which you can distinguish the missions by looking at their icons in the game once you figure out.

how to get a key:

step 1:
go to the website that gives the keys

step 2:
click on "Hier klicken, um einen Beta-Key für Silent Hunter Online zu ergattern." in the middle of the page

step 3:
popup asks for your e-mail and you have to answer to a math question; multiply the numbers given.

step 4:
check your email and get the key which would be something like "AUP-4I71-5TGH"

step 5:
go to silent hunter online website and click on "ich habe einen key", put in your key and continue to register with ubi. flash game will come up after you finish the registration.

I dont understand a word of german but somehow managed to get trough tutorial part.

Honestly i kinda enjoy the game right now. Its not diehard sim but a nice way to spend time when working. I have game opened in my browser and checking in every now and then. Also i have earplugs on all the time and music turned off. I get an immersion of being iside the sub even if i am working and not activly playing the game.

personally i think subsim has more or less been written off by ubi

In fairness to the dev team it could well be that the translation aspects are lower down their list of priorities. Not just the game itself but interaction with the testers, news updates etc.

I have had a quick look at it and as a browser based game its pretty good, but I wouldn't even begin to classify it as a PC Simulation game as the 3D graphics alone are sub-Nintendo DS levels.

The question to my mind is will this appeal to the sort of person that plays/pays for Facebook apps or can you convert sim fans into that genre? I'm not sure you can tbh, but we will wait and see.

Seem to get stuck at the registration page where it wants you to enter your avatar name, it wont load anything on the page as far as all the html is concerned either, it keeps just going back to this-

This is a total play at work effort.

Hunt during your morning break, set up your approach in between TPS reports, then attack the convoy on your lunch break.

I guess I would of liked Silent Hunter Online to take a more....MMO persistent world approach?

Bit more "DayZ" (if you've played it) in execution I guess I mean. Does that make sense?

I got in with help of google translate.
When you enter your beta key "Ein Haben Key" " I have a Key" wont show until you click the german flag at the top of the website which changes the language of the page.
