Default IRGC General killed by IAF in Syria

Iranian Revolutionary Guard Brigadier General Hassan Shateri (Pictured) was killed in the Israeli air strike on an arms convoy in Syria on January 30th. He was a member of the Quds force.

The convoy was found to have been carrying Russian made SA-17 GRIZZLY surface-to-air missiles, a system produced by Iran as the Ra'ad air defense system.

The death of General Shateri was announced by the Syrian Free Army.

Iran unsurprisingly has vowed revenge.

They only got the one? Bummer.

What is sad is you will still likely see some folks claiming that Iran is not involved in propping up Assad.

Apparently this particular shipment was bound for the Hezbollah in Lebanon which is why the IAF destroyed it. The Syrian Army does not need additional SAMs since the rebels don't have any air support.
