Destination Tokyo!
This is a very good movie! I'm watching it on TCM at the moment.
What are your thoughts on it? Yes, I realize that this movie is terribly inaccurate from a historical standpoint.

It suffers from being made during the war, thus having a heroic crew accomplish the impossible for propaganda purposes. That said, it is a cut above most such movies and a fun film to watch.

Run Silent, Run Deep was a better movie IMO.
Both movies were inaccurate historically but i enjoyed them

RSRD and the sequel-"Dust on the Sea" are probably my 2 favorite submarine books. They always get me in the mood to play SH4. The third book in the "trilogy" is "Cold is the Sea" and takes place during the Cold War. I highly recommend all three.

I found myself getting out of breath reading the first few chapters of RSRD. Beach was sure able to translate the pressure via the written word.
