Hello, and thanks for all the fish!

I absolutely love the tone and range of comments and discussions here! I've been lurking around for a couple weeks while waiting for delivery of my new home computer (still a couple weeks to go...), and can't wait to load up SH4 on a rig that can actually run the thing without bogging down to a slideshow during any multi-ship engagement or weather event. And still I've played the darn thing for hours on end! Must be crazy, maybe enough so to fit in around here...

Came for the specs and suggestions, definitely staying for the comaraderie and class.

I had no idea what mods were all about until I started browsing threads in the Radio Room, and now I'm dying to load up a few and see what's what. First things first though - get the stock game running well.

Specific respect is due to everyone involved in the Skipper's Bag of Tricks sticky; what an extraordinary compilation of tutorials with the clear intention of communicating the "why" as much as the "how" and "what". YouTube is full of "look what I did!" and Subsim is clearly something else.

Permission to come aboard?
