Default Help With Clickable Depth Gauge TMO 2.5

I have been trying SH4 TMO 2.5 and the depth gauge in the conning tower of the Gato is supposed to be clickable but it doesn't seem to be working. I then tried TMO 1.9 and it works fine in that version.

Does anyone know how to make the changes to fix this? From what little information I was able to find, I think the file NSS_Gato_CT.dat in the folder located in Data\Interior\NSS_Gato is where this info is located. I've used Silent 3ditor but don't know where the changes need to be made. Trying to use the TMO 1.9 version of the file hasn't given me any clues either. I even tried comparing the file NSS_Gato_CR.dat in both versions to see what differences there are because the shallow & deep depth gauges at the planes station in the control room are clickable in TMO 2.5 but not in TMO 1.9. I also thought the file NSS_Gato_CT.sim might be the file involved but still didn't find anything there.

If anyone with any knowledge of how to do this can help, I would be most thankful.

Well I can tell you they work fine in TMO 2.5. -if we are talking about the small depth gauge that's near the work table in the rear of the Control Room or between the BIG dive gauges in the GATO class. I usually use the small one I just mention-but I have used the big ones on S_Boat runs in TMO 2.5 and they worked in that boat.
In stock missions I have altered sub classes and in unaltered stock missions (I like to take my GATO to around 490 or 500 ft) the small clickable depth guage works.
What mods are you running?

I don't have tmo 1.9 files, so cant compare, but you may take a look at the depth gauge in control room. If you click on it you can find its ID, if you look for that ID in sim file you will find "dial" controller; there is also another node - DialUIDepth in dat file that leads to focusable 3d object (in sim file), that is linked to dial controller (again in sim file) we found earlier. I think that is the key to it.
That depth gauge in conning tower (tmo 25) has its "dial" in sim file, but I couldnt find any "focusable3dobject" linked to it. You can take a look at tmo1.9 file and look for it.

stanger, thanks for your help. The info you provided helped solve the problem. There was no Dial_UT_CT_Depth listing in the dat file as well as no Dial or Focusable3Dobj listings for the conning tower depth gauge in the sim file. I copied these items from the TMO 1.9 dat & sim files and the depth is now selectable on the conning tower depth gauge. Thanks again.

Try the main depth gauge in the control room. The depth guage in the CT was left out because that interior had to be rebuilt around the 3d TDC which introduced a ton of controllers to that dat file.

Yeah, the deep depth and fwd & aft shallow depth gauges all work fine in the control room. It was the one in the conning tower that wasn't but it did in TMO 1.9. And thank you for the explanation as to why. Also, thanks very much for this wonderful mod. I've been having a blast (pun intended) playing it.
