Default Remake of 'Syndicate' is in the works :)

Anyone remember syndicate from 1993? it's coming back apparently.

What a good game that was.

This new one? I'm not holding my breath for it to be any good. For one, it's EA
and secondly, it's FPS.

True, but isometric has no place in modern games, in the sense that it would look dated to most people. And EA... Well they do get it right (very) occasionally. Maybe this will be one of those times, maybe not. We'll have to see.

We'll see indeed. CEO of Paradox wanted to do a Cyndicate-a-like as well; not really a reboot of the franchise but perhaps more appropriate for those of us holding on to nostalgia.

Yeah! my mates little bother had one, the world first 64-bit (s******) console, most of the games on iit were either ports or just horrible clones of popular SNES and MD/genesis titles
There were so many failed consoles in that era
Atari Jaguar, Amiga-32, Panasonic 3do, Philips CDI, Sega 32x & Mega CD
Disasters all of them.

Yes, it being FPS is clearly shown and said in the OP article.

Who knows, it may be good, if you alienate it from the original enough.

Also about that alternative take Paradox wanted to do: Paradox’s Cartel: The True Syndicate Sequel?

I know, not really on topic, but good lord that sounds a heck of a lot more Syndicate than what Starbreeze wants to mangle it into.

Debut Trailer.

Gives me a very Huoman Revolution type vibe. Although, as someone who has never played the original syndicate, I'm interested.

Actually got a Syndicate vibe from that.

Until the shooting started.

Have to agree with that.

Hopefully it's possible to use stealth approach too.

Ea description of the game makes it sound like a straight shooter with hacking abilities, no mention of stealth approaches.

Er, no. Not Syndicate.

Sounds are nice though... but that's about it. Like they tried to cross Crysis with Deus Ex. And failed.
