Advice for SH5

I would appricate a bit of Advice and input over the following silly little things,

Has anyone a reason why in deleting SH5 to reinstall once done re-booting to find that a percentage of your Desktop icons have vanished you are unable to find them in any place ?

This time I have done a backup of SH5 plus what MODS I have D/L as last time the whole lot went after they were saved on Drive C this time all my back up were placed onto another drive also hoping for the advantage of practise of Real Navigation of SH5 playing through another Drive in doing this corupting the game on Drive C SH5.

In doing this I have also placed SH3 and SH4 onto this othere drive also so that all SH are close together .

After the instalation of OHII the very latest well whilst doing the Med Mission I get to a situation of detecting Ships via the thin Line from Sub anyway of on the chase but once in very close prox I get the Green Boxes also in Radion Messages which is set to Notify Sub detection which is happening from a number of Merchant ships on locating the Green Boxes and useing the Bonockulars you end up watching Dolphins diveing etc but you are still being spoted by Merchants ships please any idea as you are unable to do anything ?
