Default time out of bonk

Everything was fine, it was day-light and I was creeping up on the enemy - but I had to save to go and do boring things in real life. When I came back into the game and loaded that save, suddenly it was night-time - at 9.45 am. Ever since then the day and night have been roughly reversed. Is there any way I can fix this please?

You're British, you must surely be aware of the British sense of humour? So that thread title...

Herr Berbunch - have I said something unworthy here...? Didn't mean to - it is a common term to indicate that something is in need of adjustment - walls not being true for example - 'out of bonk' the builder might say; nothing to do with.. promiscuity, gracious no! Sorry, did not mean to offend.

Please do explain. Is it some sort of pudding? Is it geordie?

Could be Welsh for "dive the boat!"?

Darn, I had the same thing happen to me once but I cannot recall if, or what I did to fix it. I think I had to RTB, but I'm not certain now. I also think I may have had RFB loaded up instead of TMO.
Oh well, much good I was at assisting (self pointed sarcasm). Mine occurred at around 1:00PM in the Philippine Sea. Yeah, I think I had to RTB in order to fix it.

Wish I could've been more thoughtful. As it is, and probably a contributor to my temporary loss of memory, I'm currently sedated. While trying to restrain my own dog, who was trying to attack someone, I accidently was bitten on my left thumb, all the way into the bone. Almost lost me finger. Went to the hospital, got my thumb in a splint, and I'm taking antibiotics and painkillers. Feeling no pain, that's fer sher.

Shewolf, if you've just started your patrol, can you go back and start again? I know it's a pain, but that might be the way to fix it.

I know it sucks to drop off where you're at, and do it again, but it might sort it out for you.

That is, if you haven't gotten too far into it, and have a bunch of ships sunk, and or planes destroyed.

Wernher, my sympathies for your thumb, hope you are feeling better now and that you have forgiven pooch, who was probably quite sorry. Same thing happened to me years ago, though with not such serious consequence, when Heidi, my GSD, tried to catch another furry friend who had designs on her dinner - me and my leg just got in the way. Ouch, but she was clearly repentant of sinking her gnashers into the wrong body - I couldn't be cross with her.

Hylander, perhaps I will, though it is a pain as I have just got to my destination in the East China sea, and it is such a trudge getting there safely, only surfacing at night once past Wake Island. I am impatient to get on, but... sigh.. I guess that is the best option.

That's nice Herr B - ooh, I like Shandy, haven't drunk it for years. Almost as enjoyable as Scrumpy as I recall. Yum!

Shandy Bonk Scrumpy-sounds kind of dirty to me. I say put the sub in reverse and floor it to cure your time travel issues.

Urge, entirely innocent beverages I assure you.

I tried going back to before the time warp (! maybe this is a hidden feature of the game!) occurred, and all was fine until I got nearly to my destination and had a contact. I then saved so I could go back if I wanted to change my tactics. Went back into the game - night-time again, and again I could not see my quarry. P'shaw!! ( this is an olde english exclamation roughly equivalent to a snort of exasperation for those of you who do not huddle ( sorry - live) on this sweet little island; it has no murky undertone that I am aware of).

Could it be one of the mods I wonder? Never happened before. I don't want to give up TMO. Is there anything I can tweak in config? If I DO start the whole patrol again, will that truly fix it?

feeling p'shaw-ish and grumpy now...

ps. I have noticed that sunrise and sunset seem to 'slip' as the game progresses, so that it might get dark at 5.00 pm and light at 6.00 am at one time and another time will not lighten until past 10.am, or 'go to red' until 11.00 pm. I sort of pass this off as 'local time' realities, but maybe there is a clue there.

Has somebody created a Philadelphia Experiment Mod?

Regarding Scrumpy - I lived near Cheddar for six months and that stuff, the proper stuff - not the supermarket cash-in variety, is rank. It stinks, it tastes crap, and it stinks! And it tastes crap.

Ah, well my experience of Scrumpy (aka rough cider) is at the other end of the experience spectrum to yours Herr B - sweet, refreshing and enjoyable, if a bit strong for the mere slip of a girl I was then. Perhaps they do a rougher variety down in the West than where I was ( Leatherhead as I recall, at a pub called Smokey Joes... looong time ago) - or maybe our tastebuds choose to differ....
