Messy screen

Hi guys!

Finally got the game running for the first time. Did the tutorial, installed a lot of mods and updated my gfx drivers.

When in the game (bunker) I get this http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/7739/sh5screen2.png screen. The game functions in the background and I can move around, but cant quite see anything

My active mods list

System specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual
2 G RAM
Gforce GTX 460 driver version 285.58
Windows XP 32-bit SP3

I'm going to play with the drivers and mods later tonite after work, but was hoping you guys could tell me if you see any mods conflicting with each other causing this "side effect".

I tried to follow the mod list from the thread "Mod guide for beginners", althought I made a few exceptions.

Your mod list looks good to me JohnnyBlaze

But - you are running out of memory. You need to try the 3gig patch as you use 32bit OS - ah but you only have 2gig ram

You may need to cut out some of these mem hungry mods:-

TDWs - FX mod
or
SViking - inter mod
or
Stoianm - environ
or
Strormfly sounds

and reduce OHII to base.

Try removing one at a time until it fixes your issue

Tho not the kinda answer I wanted to hear

But youre right it seems to be memory issue. I reduced OHII to base as you suggested and the screen got a "little" better

Guess I just have to remove another mod and see what happens..

Or just maybe go buy more RAM

LOL didn't realize that you were the author of the mod list I was trying to copy

Removed FX and inter mod, some improvements but still unplayable.

As I've seen screenshots from the Dynamic environment mod, it makes me not want to remove that

Do you know if the other environment mod is less memory hungry?

Ok removed the Dynamic environment mod and now I can see again.

I'll have to try and see if I can use the other mods I removed. Maybe get some of the eye candy back.

btw what's up with the hardware detection tool? It still says that my gfx drivers are old. something like 181.xx version.
I just updated to 285.xx or something like that...


Guess it's just inevitable that I have to upgrade my system..
Can't have all of the eye candy in another sim I play alot (Falcon 4 BMS)

Anywhere I can get blueprints for the local bank?

Seems like I can use all the other mods except the Dynamic environment.

Its good that you have found an install list that works with just removing one mod

Watch out for issues in harbours or with large convoys - I would not add too many more mods
