Default T/C & NewUIs with TDC for SH5 by TheDarkWraithewUIs with TDC for SH5 by TheDarkWraith

First off, I would like to thank Darkwraith for this amazing interface mod. Truly well done and such a help to many of us that preferred the greater control the old interfaces provided. Not to mention he genuinely seems concerned and helpful, frequently assisting members with issues they may have. Thanks again for doing such good for others, it certainly does not go unnoticed, we all appreciate it.

That said, I am having an issue where the Time Compression with the new UI will drop anytime I am near a ship. I am assuming this was done to fix the broken travel mode where you just ram other friendly ships at high TC levels.

That said, I would prefer to occasionally hit another ship than to have to constantly mash the + button, is there any way to make travel mode actually work, because when it is enable it doesn't seem to do much or anything.

I completely agree

As for his question, I too am curious if something can be done about that.

I think I found it, it's under "Time Compression" in the options editor.

There is a setting for changing time compression when a ship gets close, and then there is a setting to determine what TC level will be set when a ship gets in this range.

Default is 8000 and 1, so if a ship gets within 8000 meters (I assume) TC will drop to 1.

You can just disable all TC1 buttons in top-right corner of UI when you don't need them and then turn on back in open ocean.

That's one of them that will do it. There's also a TC1 on messagebox text and TC1 on any messagebox text. I forget where they are in the options editor/viewer but my guess is I put them under TC, Clock, or Automatics.
