Default MOD installation ... again

Hi. I'm new here and need some tips how to get the mod working.

I have installed the Jonesoft and have imported some mods into the program. Now, my problem is that the mods don't 'show up' ingame.

I read some threads about this and it was something about the data folder being placed wrong, maybe this is my issue??

Is it correct that the 'main' folder of the mod should be inside the MOD folder or the actual DATA folder (in all mods) should be present right inside the MOD folder (in SH5 main folder)

example:

C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\DATA

or:

C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\'MODNAME mainfolder'\DATA

which is correct??

this is the correct folder to put in jsgme:

C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\'MODNAME mainfolder'\DATA

to be clear, many mods are packaged like this:

mod xyz.zip that opens to find a "mod xyz folder\read me file & mod xyz folder containing the data folder" so you take the second folder "mod xyz \DATA" folder and put just that one in jsgme

yep, just open jsgme and enable the mod and from then on you just start up the game without using jsgme, you only need jsgme to install or uninstall mods and it stays that way untill you undo it so no need for running jsgme again unless you want to change something or check on what mods you have running
