Playing with no Internet help

Hello, right now I don't have internet and was trying to play S5, every time the game auto saves it kicks me back out to the desk top. I have the 1.2 patch. Is there any thing I can do to stop this?

I'm afraid not. This is why I still haven't bought the game. You don't have to stay online to play it, but you do have to be online to start it up.

I completely missed the auto-saves part. Sorry.

I doubt that will work, Ubi's launcher will want to authenticate to their server every time you try and start the game.

Having to login to an online server, like an MMO, to play a singleplayer game is utterly retarded. SH5 is the first, and LAST game i ever buy that does this. If ubi's launcher had an offline mode like steam, then id sing a different tune.

The latest patch allows you to put the launcher in offline mode, you dont even need to be online to start the game, although every 2hours or so you will still be kicked back to the desktop as Uplay tries to connect, you can just click on play to restart your game.

That doesn't sound correct at all. That's happened to you?

...

I've let my game run for over 3 hours and Uplay hasn't tried to reconnect at all. Make sure you've turned off 'save game synching' since that might be causing it.
