Default My Batteries won't charge!

I noticed this last week, but ended up going back to port, so I forgot about it, but my batteries don't recharge.

I have the Magnum Opus Mega mod and the NewUIs_TDC from Dark Wraith, as well as a few other mods as instructed by Stoaim's awesome mod installation video.

How long is it supposed to take batteries to charge? I attacked a convoy and used 42% of my batteries, so I was down to 58% by the time I surfaced, and I have been on the surface for about 30 hours now running on diesels and my batteries are still at only 58%!!?? I check that red bar in the HUD and also the info on the Command Room Screen. It's all the same.

I also checked my Engine and Motor Rooms and everything is 100% fine. And I told the Chief Engineer to charge the batteries a few times.. So what's the problem?

Obviously someone is running a pirate radio station from your u-boat! Hunt them down and punish them.

Nm, poor joke. I do think that the FX and IRAI mods should be installed before all the others though.

Personally I've ditched IRAI. Armed Trawlers shouldn't be able to accurately follow a sub at 160m for 9 hours.

Kylania, what do you use instead? Isn't the AI broken without IRAI?

For me it's far more broken with IRAI unfortunately. Since installing it I've made contact with warships four times. In every situation the warships have either beelined right at me even though I was 50m below and 7km away and stopped silent so they would have had absolutely no way of knowing I was there or once contact was made never left me, not even partially. To me that's not challenging that's just annoying.

This was all early war stuff too, so we're talking green crews in fishing vessels tracking me at depth for hours. I'll take dumbass escorts that don't even stop when their escorted ship is sunk behind them to that.

Just had an airplane attack me while I was submerged attacking a merchant ship without IRAI... yikes. Misjudged distance when I tried to sprint away and totally misjudged my crew's ability to attack and now I'm at 46% hull (the silly merchant started shooting accurately from 7km away!)

You make a fair point. I've read somewhere that TDW's upcoming version of IRAI is going to fix this problem of warhips "cheating". However, TDW said he is putting all his efforts into GR2 at the moment, even though I would prefer to see him work more on the AI. Hopefully the next version will fix some of these problems.

Well, I changed my Mods order to what Trevally posted. I then loaded my current mission where I was at sea heading home. But my batteries did not recharge at all. So, I docked at port, checked in with the maintenance guy, got a new mission and headed back out to sea. I did a little test and submerged to just use 10% of my batteries down to 90%. When I surfaced they did recharge. So, I am not sure if it was the mod order, or I had damage. I did not get attacked at all during the mission, and all of my systems were at 100%, so I'm not sure what happened or actually fixed it.
