Another resolution problem...

Hi,

after playing Silent Hunter 3 for some time now, I have no doubt fixed the screen resolution. I can now play the game in any desired resolution. However, my problem is this...when playing in 1920 x 1080, there is a peculiar issue with the periscope system. When clicking the mouse to move around the controls, then pointer will be positioned automatically over the 'fire' control, meaning a torpedo then fires frustratingly and at an unnecessary moment. This is only the case when playing in this resolution. I''ve looked into this problem on several other forums...and none have a solution, other to change the resolution, which is not a solution. But I'm am willing to try anything to solve this problem, if there is only a way...I would so appreciate a fix.
Thankyou.

WELCOME ABOARD!

This is an old and well-known bug with any res-fix mod. There is a solution, but since I've never used any res-fix I didn't pay attention to the fixes.

I'll go looking for the fix right now. If I don't find it quickly, don't panic. Someone will be along who has used it and knows it better than I do.

[edit]Found it! Or at least a couple of solutions.

Thanks Sailor Steve ! I appreciate the reply, time and effort, let alone the fix. I'm so eager to find one

Sailor Steve...gotta give you one HUGE thankyou - I've (finally) managed to solve this nightmare of a bug. I installed the MaGui mod (final version) and all has been fixed. Are you familiar with this mod by the way, because I have a small question to ask about it, if you are ?
Thanks again ; )

Not really. I actually use a mod that removes everything from the screen and makes it all into popouts.
