Klick in base before mission right above War Ended 1941 and go, on a patrol at least 100 km away from port and end mission on surface and see if it does the same thing.

If it doesn't and the War is still going you'l, probably lose ships sunk, tonnage and renoun. Maybe Not.

If it doesn't work wait until someone here familiar with files can show you how to fix it.

And you need to edit this post and put more info.

OS Do you have GWX or other Super mod installed ?

List of other mods ?

You don't want to make the ones that can help you have, to play 20 Questions with
you first. It could lessin the responses you get.

Good Luck u-969

Go to your SH3 folder in you documents folder. Go to your kaluen name and open both the Careers and Careers_0 files with notepad and scroll down to the last patrol and look for WarOver= and make sure it says false in both files. If it says true, change it and save the file.

Yeah sorry Admiral, i will endeavor to provide necessary information's in the future

I'm using the GWX3 and War Ships Mod, i have been stalking the Royal Navy with the dreaded Bismark Battle Ship since 1939

I have logged 2.35M tonnes of sunk shipping.

In reality Bismark was lost in disputed circumstances in 1941, that might have something to do with it, But that other Leviathan her sister ship Tirpitz survived until very late in the war.

I might try starting a new game in 1942 with Bismark (class)? again, see what happens....

OS- win 7 64Bit

Hardware is capable..

Thanks

It is something that happens once in a great while to someone. I have no idea why it happens but, the fix works.

Hmm, Bismarck, eh? Take a look in the Roster file for the playable Bismarck. Check the Cfg file and look at the dates. In real life Bismarck was sunk in May 1941. If the Cfg file still gives the end date of 19410507 the problem might lie right there.

Or not.

Looks like that could well be the problem

War Ships Mod? You can play the Bismarck? I did a quick search, but couldn't find it. Can you provide a link? I'd love to see this mod!

There are two versions, one for the standard SH3 1.4 and the other for the GWX 3 Mod

Installation is not for the faint hearted, if you already have GWX you use JSGME to install the GWX version, if not i don't know as i have never tried to install the standard version.

Instructions are inside, follow them to the later or they will not work, and it is slightly tricky if your a novice...

Some notes, i know in the GWX version you can not save mid game and then go back to it, the game will simply crash.
Turn realistic damage off, or you will end up with a dead ship after just a couple of hits, that's not realistic...
Once you copied the the WSM-GWX3.0 to the mods folder activate it in JSGME and then close it, now open JSGME again and you should find 3 folders,- GeI GeII and GeIII, capital ships are in GeI including Bismark, you need to select U-Boot IXD2 to get it, that's if you have enough to pay for it, if not you have to earn it or cheat.

The wide-screen Mod is advisable if your playing with something that casts a half mile shadow..

wide-screen Mod - http://www.mediafire.com/?ccngfcfb4me8y5r

GWX3 - http://www.mediafire.com/?di33mcxbbncdzpg

SH3 1.4 - http://www.mediafire.com/?dstw1dqmc823kss

Originated from - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...157060&page=29

If you have any problems let me know, happy hunting

Your praise is much appreciated but I must point out that there have been reports of faulty download files from our website in recent months so would therefore encourage those who wish to download GWX to get said files from my FF account (link above my sig).

Thank you for the link, the referral to GWX, and especially for your kindness. I've been playing GWX3 for a while now and I fully agree with your assessment. It is a vast improvement over SH3 and makes the game an immersive and educational experience.
